A few years ago, The Broad Ripple Gazette ran this ad as part of their April 1 issue. Needless to say, not everyone realized the April Fools connection. The phones rang off the hook that day.

Wednesday January 30 will mark the last ever RETRO REWIND at The Vogue. This Wednesday night dance party has been a staple of the Indianapolis Nightlife scene for over 15 years. Most people probably have a story or 2 about the infamous Retro Rewind. In fact, if you have a funny story of a Retro night, post in the comments below. Don’t worry though, The Vogue will be launching an all new party called GLOW WEDNESDAYS. We will be throwing the city’s biggest & best Black Light Party every single Wednesday night. We will continue to keep a lot of that same retro music in the format. Playing everything from the 1990′s & beyond. It will be part Neon paint party, part warehouse rave, but 100% pandemonium every week. Glowsticks, neon attire, vacation giveaways, Specialty neon cocktails, glow in the dark dance team… and much more… you will have to see it to experience it!

This past September, we ran a contest in which fans had a chance to win a Lifetime FREE PASS to The Vogue. All they had to do was be one of the 1st 20 people to get a Vogue ticket stub tattoed on their body! We recently were at a Ticketing & marketing Conference… and wouldnt you know it? We won an award for BEST MARKETING CAMPAIGN of 2012. Check out the fancy plaque here.

So many new and exciting things happening around here for the new year. Wednesday and Saturday dance club nights will be under the direction of a new creative director, creating some of the most memorable party nights this city has ever seen. Our live music schedule will be kicking into full gear and we will once again be hosting the best live music events in Indianapolis.

As we head into the final stretch of 2012, there is no rest for us here at The Vogue. We pride ourselves as being the best holiday season hotspot. For years, The Vogue is the #1 destination for out of town relatives, college students home for winter break and of course those who just need to get out of the house. This year is no different.

We kick things off this Wednesday Dec. 19 with our annual Ugly/Sexy Holiday Sweater Party. Be sure to break out the Sweater, as we will be giving away cash & prizes for the ugliest & sexiest sweater.

Next up is Thursday Dec. 20, with the 2nd annual ELECTRONICA HANNUKAH… quite possibly the greatest name of all time. Guest DJ Rudy Kizer will be here spinning the best in EDM. Bonus: There is NO COVER CHARGE — Its FREE to get in!

Friday December 21 brings the 1st of 2 Mayan Calendar End of the World Parties…. Hairbangers Ball in concert with a special opening act by local burlesque troupe Rocket Doll Revue

The next night, Saturday Dec. 22, Indy Mojo & Sun King Brewery present the Mayan Survival EDM Party. We will be celebrating the End of the World survival with all kinds of specialty drinks & prices, along with the best in Electronic music.

Thursday December 27 will be one of those nights that music fans will be talking about for a long time. Leftover Salmon with guests Lee Boys in concert. Leftover used to sell out the Vogue all the time back in the day. They took a hiatus, but are now back. Some Bluegrass/Jam band goodness

Friday December 28, one of country’s biggest rising Country Music stars Clayton Anderson will be here. His last show here was a 3 hour epic party

Sunday December 30, one of our favorites bands of all times… we have booked him over 10 times throughout the years…. JJ GREY & MOFRO… dont miss it… it will a sold out ragin swamp funk party

And Finally…. the BIGGEST New Years Event in town… our annual NYE EXTRAVAGANZA. This year’s theme is a White Party. We will have cash & prizes for Best Dressed Couple, along with all of the usual party favors… Champagne toast at midnight, Cash Balloon Drop & more.
